There are millions of websites devoted to Genealogy. Most are very comprehensive but difficult to navigate. If you notice most of those websites do not have much original material. In fact they tend to refer you to 10 to 20 large websites. that give you duplicate information.
How are we different?
You are about to enter our old library of Genealogy and History links. Many of the links date back to 1996 and the collection is currently being edited for dead links.
This is a list of all of the State historical Societies. State Historical societies have invaluable collections of records to help you find your ancestors.
Natiowide Directory of County Historical Societies County Historical societies have significant collections of county records including tax records, Plat Maps, County Histories and sometimes vital records.
Major Genealogy websites all but one are free.
Keep in mind this is a basic list and is shown to help new and less experienced Genealogy researchers to get oriented to the 206 million Genealogy websites online.
Largest paid membership Genealogy website. Well worth it but it is hard to use.

Major directory of City Directories nationwide. City Directories were compiled beginning in 1799 for the majority of medium and large cities in the US. The records give more in depth information than the census and they are very accurate because they were compiled by for profit companies.
Largest volunteer developed free website for Genealogy. Site is organized by state and county and includes information on birth marriage death and other records.
