Apple/Corer/Peeler This handy gadget has saved more time and fingers than any other gadget around! Peeling, coring and slicing apples for an apple pie can take well over an hour. With the apple/corer/peeler it takes just minutes, without a knife. The Apple/corer/peeler has been around for over one hundred years with the only design change being the addition of a suction base instead of the clamp-on style. My great grandmother used one. When she made her apple pie the crust was loaded with lard, when Grandma made crust she used Crisco and my Mom used margarine. Now we use butter. Times have changed and recipes have changed, but the apple/corer/peeler has remained the same sturdy workhorse .
